Various professionals and practitioners would be speaking about different topics about economics, business, insurance, banking, law and other financial topics. The 1st JCI Financial Workshop was conducted last year at One Legaspi Park. The talk was conducted by BPI Asset Management and Trust Group. Topics were “Stock Trading Made Easy” and “Basic Financial Planning”. Topics were very timely as “Stock Trading Made Easy” gave opportunities for would be stock traders to participate in the sectoral bullrun of 2010 which gave the audience a probability to have a 20% return on their equity investments. The second topic, “Basic Financial Planning” taught the public the proper way of managing wealth, maximizing returns and minimizing risk. The event introduced alternative investment ideas instead of the regular time deposit and special deposit accounts of the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Investing in Mutual Funds, Unit Investment Trust Funds, and Stocks were introduced. The 2nd JCI Financial Workshop entitled “Financial Fitness” and “Estate Planning” talked about the use of insurance to minimize financial risk and managing your estate while being guided by the Philippine Law. This event was conducted by Philippine Prudential Life and Chavez Law Office, which are also both located in the Makati CBD.

The talk was very informational and the audiences were given out handouts to guide them through the seminar. The members of the chapter experienced great reactions from the audience, as most of them were already looking forward for the 3rd JCI Makati Financial Workshop.
